Happy Halloween!
I realize to many I'm saying this a day early, but here in Ohio our entire community celebrates Halloween on October 30th. Halloween parties at school are today and trick-or-treating is tonight. I have personally never heard of such a thing but the locals assure me I'm the odd one for never experiencing Halloween on the 30th before. Hmmm...not sure I'm convinced. Regardless, we're jumping on the bandwagon and joining in!
Not only is today our Halloween, but it's the first official day of snow! It flurried a little yesterday morning but this morning we woke up to it actually on the ground. It's continued to flurry all morning and it's gorgeous! I'm not sure how pretty I'll think it is tonight when the kids want to trick-or-treat in it but for now, from the comfort of my well-heated office as I type in my robe and thick socks, it's beautiful!
Over the weekend hubby and I went out with some friends and enjoyed a kid-free night. It was cold out so I threw on some boots and layers...I have a feeling this idea of layering will be quite over-used this winter. =)
Satiny Ruffle Trim Top-Old Navy/ Bookstore Cardi-DownEast Basics/ Jeggings-American Eagle/ Miz Mooz "Siri" Knee-High Boots/ Tarn Necklace-Anthropologie/ Strung Hoop Earrings-Anthropologie/ Sparkling Dome Ring-Forever 21
Lots of oldies but goodies from my closet in this outfit...remix city!
I'm off to get the festivities started. I'm running on fumes today...4 hours of sleep from staying up late making sugar cookies and stuffing treat bags for my 1st graders Halloween party this afternoon. How do I get talked into being room mom every year? (I actually love it...I just don't love my mad procrastination skills...gotta work on those).
Happy Halloween!
PS--My heart goes out to all those affected by hurricane Sandy. I hope that the damage can be cleaned up quickly and that people's lives can return to normalcy soon. We have family in NYC (holla!!) and as far as I know they are safe, perhaps without power. Such a scary thing. Anyhow, just wanted to remember the east coast today in my thoughts today.
